- Will need high clearance 4×4 or street legal dual sport motorcycle
- Many trail options, mostly unpaved, some technical obstacles
- Route 5 Section 1 starts/ends about 30 minutes from Lakeview, OR
- Southern Oregon Loop Drive
- An all highway scenic loop through a portion of Southern Oregon and the Oregon Outback Scenic Byway
- Start and Ends in either Lakeview, Oregon or Peter Skene Ogden State Scenic Viewpoint about 30 minutes north of Bend, Oregon.
- Modoc Back Country Discovery Route
- Best for high clearance street legal vehicles
- Some optional “4×4” sections
- Could be added into OBDR easily (they end/start at the same location)

- Surprise Valley Scenic Tour
- Good for all street legal vehicles
- Some nice hikes along the route.
- Starts and ends in Lakeview, Oregon.
- Check road conditions in the winter months – part of the route may be blocked by snow.
- Backroads from Lava Beds to Lakeview, Oregon.
- Scenic drive
- Optional turnouts
- Family friendly
- Some watercrossings (paved- water higher or lower depending on the season)
